Mortars with 1/2: Let it rain

Marines with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment underwent mortar familiarization training at, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 6. During the training, Marines advanced to the firing line on the range, received a call-for-fire, and launched 60 mm mortars down range at targets out of sight.

1/2 veterans gather to commemorate fallen comrades

Veterans from 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment honored the fallen Marines of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom from the 2010 and 2007 deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, respectively, during a memorial service held at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, April 9.
