U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Ashton Permann, an airborne and air delivery specialist with 2nd Distribution Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, inspects a parachute at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, April 30, 2025.Permann was selected by his command due to his constant dedication to the mission success while serving as section leader, jumpmaster and embarkation chief for 1st Platoon Air Distribution Company which is a senior noncommissioned officer billet that includes providing logistical planning, management, and the execution of Air Distribution Company operations. As a Jumpmaster, Permann has conducted, planned, executed, and supervised over 12 cargo and personnel drops within the past three months. Each week, 2nd MLG recognizes one outstanding Marine or Sailor that goes above and beyond in their duties and embodies the qualities of an outstanding service member. Lucas Camacho, a ground electronics transmissions systems maintainer and Valley Stream, New York native with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), poses for a portrait on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, April 8, 2025. Camacho won the Pfc. Littleton award for his actions with the 24th MEU in 2024. This award is one of the highest honors a Marine Corps communications marine can receive. Named after Pfc. Littleton, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism during the Korean War for smothering a grenade with his body, the award recognizes communications Marines who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication.
