WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Marine Corps’ explosive ordnance disposal units travel all over the world to enhance their knowledge of ordnance. From May 19 - 30, 2025, EOD technicians with 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, and 3rd MLG, III MEF, upon invitation by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, worked on a special project under the supervision of the museum’s collections and curatorial staff to inspect, identify and create a database of ordnance from past wars ranging from the American Revolutionary War to the Vietnam War.

U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Robert McGill, a dental technician with 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, and a native of Heidelberg, Mississippi, was selected as Warrior of the Week by his command for his unwavering commitment to mission readiness and excellence in patient care throughout 2nd MLG.     McGill has served in multiple key roles within the 2nd Dental Battalion, including aiding seven providers in completing 662 exams, 206 restorative procedures, and 2,800 radiographs. In addition, he has assisted in managing appointment scheduling across 12 commands, helping achieve dental readiness for 5,000 beneficiaries. As a safety representative, he has contributed to a grade "A" safety rating through conducting
