Marines

Equal Opportunity Coordinator

This is an appointed position responsible for the administration of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program to ensure that applicants and employees receive equal opportunities in employment and contracting activities regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

Mission

The Marine Corps is firmly committed to fostering a culture grounded in dignity, respect, and trust. Every Marine deserves equal opportunity to realize their full potential judged solely on merit, fitness, intellect, and ability. All Marines share the responsibility of upholding an environment free from prohibited activities and conduct. This commitment is essential to mission success, unit cohesion, and operational readiness. Such behaviors regardless of time or place have no place in our ranks. Prohibited conduct erodes morale, weakens combat effectiveness, and hinders the development of the Marine Corps’ greatest asset: its people. Moreover, it jeopardizes the trust and confidence our Nation places in us as its elite fighting force.

II MSB EOC Mission

As members of II MSB, we have both the opportunity and the moral responsibility to acknowledge our shared humanity our divine common ground.  It is our duty to stand against discrimination and intolerance, to uplift the dignity of every individual, and to foster a culture that values self-worth and recognizes the inherent worth of each person.

POLICY

Prohibited discriminatory and harassment behaviors within the Marine Corps are counter-productive to mission readiness, unacceptable, and are not tolerated.

The Marine Corps maintains a culture of dignity, care, and respect in which all members of the organization are afforded equal treatment and opportunity to achieve their full potential based upon individual merit, fitness, intellect, and ability.

All commanders will cultivate an environment free from PAC. The behaviors identified in this Order undermines morale, reduces combat readiness, and prevent maximum utilization and development of the Marine Corps’ most vital asset- its Marines and Sailors.
