Enthusiastic crowds gathered at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn to witness the Parade of Ships heading into the New York Harbor for Fleet Week New York, 2016. As the ships passed the base, the soldiers saluted them by firing artillery. The Marines, Sailors and Coastguardsmen aboard the ships will spend the week in the city demonstrating the capabilities of the maritime services and participating in community relations events.
