On 11 April 2014, Marine Air Control Squadron 2, hosted its first HITT for Heroes event to support the mission of Wounded Warrior Battalion-East, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. At Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Marines from several Cherry Point based squadrons completed two circuits of HITT exercises. Here, Sgt. Maj. Benjamin Pangborn, sergeant major of MCAS Cherry Point, and Cpl. Kristi Mitchell, an intelligence analyst with MACS-2 and chief planner of HITT for Heroes, speak about the importance of supporting the Marine Corps' wounded warriors through events like HITT for Heroes.
