Carolan Whitney, a medical officer with 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, applies a bandage on a simulated casualty during a Tier IV Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course at the Battle Skills Training School, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, July 21, 2025. This was the first ever Tier IV TCCC hosted by a Marine Corps command and the first course executed by U.S. Navy personnel on the East Coast. U.S. Marines conduct a relief and appointment ceremony at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 9, 2021. During the ceremony, Sgt. Maj. Michael D. Martinet was relieved and Sgt. Maj. Patrick E. Fay was appointed as the sergeant major of Combat Logistics Regiment 27. The ceremony symbolizes the passing of trust and confidence from the outgoing sergeant major to the incoming sergeant major.
