Pedro Skaggs, a former maintenance management specialist with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, speak on their experiences during the ‘Battle of Fallujah’ at Camp Lejeune, NC., Nov. 16, 2020. Battles and Skaggs were both present when U.S. troops pushed into the city of Fallujah for the second time—Nov. 10, 2004. The second push into Fallujah was the bloodiest battle of the war in Iraq, resulting in 54 killed in action and 425 U.S. troops wounded. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt. Megan Roses)
