Marines with Alpha Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, traverse through knee-deep fresh powder at the Mountain Warfare Training Center during Mountain Exercise 1-16 in Bridgeport, Calif., Jan. 14, 2016. The Marines created their own paths for the remainder of their unit to move from one training area to the next. Marines across II Marine Expeditionary Force and 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade were taking part in the training in preparation for Exercise Cold Response 16 in Norway this March.
