Swedish Army Pvt. Edvin Andersson, a mechanic with 32nd Intelligence Battalion, monitors the fuel valve on a JAS-39 Gripen aircraft assigned to the Norrbotten Air Wing, F 21, at Kallax Air Base, Luleå, Sweden, March 12, 2026. Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 273, Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, conducted forward arming and refueling point operations alongside the 32nd Intelligence Battalion to support NATO air operations during exercise Cold Response 26. A key component of NATO's enhanced vigilance activity Arctic Sentry, exercise Cold Response 26 is a Norwegian-led winter military exercise designed to enhance collective defense capabilities and ensure U.S. readiness to rapidly deploy and seamlessly operate alongside NATO Allies in challenging arctic conditions.
