U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271, Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, fly aboard a CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 464, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd MAW, at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, traveling to Key West, Florida, Feb. 11, 2026. MAG-29 Distributed Aviation Operations Exercise is a multi-week exercise designed to distribute command and control of aviation forces, pushing authorities to the lowest levels while keeping forces moving between airfields and air sites. MAG-29 DAO Exercise is scheduled to take place across the southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and The Bahamas.
