U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Robert Epstein, the oncoming commanding officer of 2nd Intelligence Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, receives the colors from Lt. Col. Douglas McDonough, the off-going commanding officer, during a change of command ceremony at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jan. 14, 2026. The change of command ceremony symbolizes the passing of authority and responsibility from the off-going to the oncoming commanding officer.
