U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Grant Morris, a digital wideband systems maintainer with 2nd Intelligence Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, II MEF, poses for a photo at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 4, 2025. Morris designed a dust cover for the hand-held radio test set during the additive manufacturing basic course hosted by the II MEF Innovation Campus. The additive manufacturing basic course focuses on providing students with knowledge and access to tools that assist in finding and utilizing reverse engineering, digital part design, and basic 3D printing of polymers. The 3D-printed dust cover provided the Marine Corps a quick and cost-effective solution to protect the communication equipment from dust, sand, wear and tear, extending its service life. Morris is a native of Nevada. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Brady V. Hathaway)
