U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Misael Hernandez, a transmissions systems operator with 2nd Combat Readiness Regiment, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, and native of Newport News, Virginia, poses for a photo aboard the San-Antonio Class amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) in New York, May 21, 2025. Hernandez was selected as warrior of the week for his tenacious work ethic while attached to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Fleet Week New York. While aboard the USS New York, Hernandez acted as transmissions chief, setting up vital lines of communication between different ships and providing uninterrupted communications that ensured the command stayed connected via two separate radio nets. While on ship he was directly responsible for managing workflow and scheduling shifts for eight Marines under his charge. Each week, 2nd MLG recognizes one outstanding Marine or Sailor that goes above and beyond in their duties and embodies the qualities of an outstanding service member. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl.
