U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepare to recover a simulated casualty while conducting a tactical recovery of aircraft personnel (TRAP) during Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (ARGMEUEX) at Camp Burnt Gin, South Carolina, April 25, 2023. TRAP training develops the MEU’s capability to recover isolated personnel and aircraft in hostile, uncertain and permissive environments. Expeditionary Operations Training Group organized ARGMEUEX as part of the 26th MEU’s third phase of the pre-deployment training to ensure their Marines and Sailors, in partnership with their Navy teammates, are ready to serve as a formidable deterrent capable of performing missions across a full range of military operations from the sea.
