A U.S. Marine advisor with Task Force Southwest sits down and discusses capabilities, staffing and equipment that the information operations soldiers have at the 1st Brigade, near New Garm Ser, Afghanistan, Sept. 27, 2017. The advisor talked about the most efficient ways to keep the public informed and ultimately gain positive public opinion. As part of the new U.S. South Asia strategy, Marines are advising down to the brigade- and kandak-levels where necessary to support Afghan National Defense and Security Force operations.
