U.S. Marine Sgt. Maj. Richard D. Tresher, the sergeant major of II Marine Expeditionary Force, reads the citation of the Lt. Gen. Chesty Puller Outstanding Leadership Award, on Camp Lejeune, N.C., May 1, 2019. 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion was awarded for their professional achievement and sustained superior performance in training, maintaining, fostering, nurturing, and mentoring Marines and Sailors, as well as exceeding unit mission requirements from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018.
