MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Marines and Sailors fromĀ II Marine Expeditionary Force Border Transition Teams take part in a Combat Lifesaver Training Course in front of the II MEF headquarters building Feb. 28. The course helps refresh first aid skills and also shows the team members different life saving techniques in case a medical evacuation is not readily available. The teams are extensively training for a one year combat deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The teams were configured after a message came down from Headquarters Marine Corps to assemble three teams of different military occupational specialties from II MEF. They will deploy in early April and meet up with other teams from I and III MEF.
