Cpl. Ciaran Black; 2nd MLG Warrior of the Week

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.-- U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Ciaran Black, a utilities technician with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, was selected as the 2nd MLG Warrior of the Week at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 2, 2025.  
Black’s command selected him as the Warrior of the Week due to his dedication to mentoring those around him and increasing the technical capabilities of his section. Black serves as the Utilities Non-commissioned officer and directly influences and trains his Marines to be able to operate as independent augments. He guides his team to think independently, problem solve through innovation and research and to trouble shoot issues that could cause maintenance setbacks.
As a utilities technician and NCO, Black is often the lead for making major fixes when issues arise with generators or air conditioning units. He leads his team by example, finding solutions to problems based on experience and self-driven efforts toward proficiency.
When asked about what’s most impactful for him as a Marine, Black said, “Knowing that other people are benefiting from my work is significant because I know I’m helping people.”
