Infantry Marine rifle squads with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, and 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment competed in the annual 2nd Marine Division Infantry Rifle Squad Competition aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 17-19, 2015. Each regiment sent its best squad to compete in the annual competition that tests the Marines on all skills a Marine rifle squad needs in order to be combat effective on the battlefield. Each regiment sent its best squad in the regiment for the competition. The competition is part of the Competition-in-Arms Program that fosters a competitive spirit in the Marines as well as test their skills and abilities as a squad.
