Marines with Communication Company, 2nd Marine Division, conducted the Basic Urban Skills Training Course aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 5, 2015. The course teaches Marines the fundamentals of military operations in urban terrain. The company was given scenarios that contained close quarters combat and were tasked with capturing an objective building.

Marines with 2nd Platoon, 2nd Reconnaissance Company, II Marine Expeditionary Force conducted close-quarters combat tactics training at Range K-501A aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 14-15, 2015. Marines with 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, conducted fast rope insertion and close quarter training at the military operations on urban terrain facility aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Nov. 19 to 21, 2014. The exercise integrated the reconnaissance Marines and the helicopter pilots requiring the same level of communication and cooperation they would use during combat operations to ensure realism and effective training.
