Marines with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion made sure to plug their ears as they fired the loudest shoulder fired weapon in the Marine Corps weapons arsenal, the Shoulder launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon, during a range training event at Camp Lejeuene, N.C., Nov. 11, 2016. The event was geared towards those Marines who have never had hands on experience with the SMAW. U.S. Marines with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade conducted a live stinger missle shoot alongside Norwegian Army soliders at Ørland, Norway, Feb. 24 and 25, 2016. The nations are executing integration training in preparation for Exercise Cold Response 16 in March. Cold Response is a combined, joint exercise bringing together 13 NATO allies and partnered nations and approximately 15,000 troops in order to build partnerships and enhance abilities to respond to global crises.
