Marines from various tank battalions across the Marine Corps competed to be named the best tank crew in the Marine Corps by completing multiple courses of fire during the Tiger Competition aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., June 5, 2015. Veterans from the Marine Corps Tank Association visited the competition to see whether 1st Battalion, 2nd Battalion or 4th Battalion would bring home the trophy.

Approximately 1,000 Marines, sailors, family and friends of 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, gathered for competition and camaraderie during their annual Spartan Cup field meet held at W.P.T. Hill Field aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 14, 2014. Each company from the battalion faced off in more than a dozen different athletic competitions, each earning points based on placement, in order to win a coveted trophy adorned with a replica Spartan helmet.
