Marines with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division conducted splash training during a Vehicle Commander's Course and vehicle qualification training aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 8, 2015. The training helped the Marines improve their ability to operate amphibious assault vehicles in the water.

Marines with the Deployment Processing Command, Reserve Support Unit-East, conducted a mess night aboard the USS North Carolina, May 1, 2015. The mess night, which is an integral part of the Marine Corps heritage, was intended to promote unit cohesion and was in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service. In times past, the mess served three functions. It was the home for bachelor officers or enlisted Marines, a club for the married ones and the center of social life of a post or station. Marines with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, spent two days performing a 6-mm mortar live fire aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, March 30-31, 2015. Most Marines performing this live fire were relatively new to the unit and were trained to perform all functions related to the weapon system. The live fire continued into the evening with Marines fire high explosive and illumination rounds.

Marines with Fox Battery, 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, performed a Table 3 rifle qualification course aboard Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Mar. 6, 2015, during Exercise Rolling Thunder 2-15. The purpose of exercise Rolling Thunder is to exercise, access and improve the regiment's ability to shoot, move and communicate in a field environment while demonstrating to supported commanders the capabilities and effects the regiment provides to the division and Marine Air Ground Task Force Operations.

Landing support specialists with Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, conducted helicopter support team operations with Marine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron 302, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Air Wing, aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 29, 2015. Marines would practice and rotate positions to become familiar with each portion of a HST. This is an annual training requirement for landing support specialist Marines.

Marines and sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 26, Headquarters Regiment, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, conduct mountain warfare training aboard the U.S. Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center at Bridgeport, California, Jan. 9-Feb. 10, 2015. CLB-26 provided logistical support to 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, as they trained to maintain readiness as a self-sustaining unit through mobility and mountain warfare.
