U.S. Marines with 8th Communication Battalion, II MEF Information Group, conduct a five mile conditioning hike aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nov. 10, 2022. The hike was conducted in order to celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday while building combat readiness, unit cohesion, and esprit de corps. During the hike, 8th Communication Battalion held a competition by seeing which company could carry and deliver the most amount of canned goods to the hike finish line. The canned goods were donated to local food banks to show partnership with the community outside of Camp Lejeune. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Lance Cpl. Elijah Hurtado)
