During the FEX, III MIG Marines practiced their ability to conduct distributed operations in an austere environment. JWTC provides challenging terrain that is found on many of the islands in the Indo-Pacific. Mastery of this terrain contributes to III MIG’s ability to employ multiple modes of low-signature maneuver in a jungle environment; as well as developing and deploying distributed, lethal, networked and persistent capabilities to process and close kill chains. U.S. Marines with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion and 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, utilize a Polaris MRZR during the Artillery Relocation Training Program in Ojojihara, Japan, July 30, 2019. The Polaris MRZR is a tactical vehicle that the reconnaissance Marines utilize in their missions. ARTP 19.2 is the first iteration of the regularly scheduled training that utilized the vehicle.
