Marines with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 come home after a six month deployment to support combat operations overseas Nov. 21. Families and Marines alike were excited to be home for the holidays.

Beginning 1 December, the State of Hawaii will Begin Testing an additional siren tone aboard MCB Hawaii, the tone will be played on the first working day of the month and thereafter. The goal is to educate the community to be aware of the difference in the two seperate tones that will be played and familiarize you with the possible response measures to take. You are not required to respond during the monthly test. We want you to become familiar with the differences in the tones so you know what to do if a real emergency happens. Members of Senegal’s Compagnie Fusilier de Marin Commando and U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Africa combine forces during a four-week bilateral exercise to strengthen partner nation capabilities at Thies, Senegal, April 12 – May 9. Marines and sailors with SPMAGTF-CR-AF Ground Combat Element served as instructors and led infantry based practical application exercises with the COFUMACO to better enhance their war fighting capabilities. The unit focused on reinforcing the importance of small unit leadership and tactics, while conducting live-fire ranges, known distance engagements, movement to contact drills, combat marksmanship program and squad-level maneuvers.
