Lieutenant Colonel Agur Adams was commissioned in 2003 upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy. He was designated a Ground Intelligence Officer in 2004.
Assignments in the Operating Forces include: Scout Sniper Platoon Commander, 1st Battalion 1st Marines (2004-2006); Intelligence Advisor with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 1st Iraqi Army Division 2007); Platoon Commander, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion 2008); Intelligence Officer, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines; Senior Intelligence Officer, 1st Marine Regiment and Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task-Force-Crisis Response-Central Command (2016-2018); Operational Planning Team Leader, Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (Marines) (2018-Present).
Assignments in the Supporting Establishment: Master Instructor in Electrical Engineering, United States Naval Academy (2012-2015).
Lieutenant Colonel Adams graduated with distinction from the United States Naval Academy (Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering; Bachelor of Science, Computer Science), the Naval Postgraduate School (Masters of Science, Electrical Engineering; Electrical Engineer’s Degree), and Marine Corps University’s Command and Staff College (Masters of Military Studies).
