Sergeant Major Christine Bloomfield was born on 29 April 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland. In August 2006, she completed recruit training with 4th Recruit Training Battalion, MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina. She attended Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry, Camp Geiger from December 2006 to January 2007. She then reported to Marine Corps Combat Service Support School, Camp Geiger where she attended Personnel Administration Course.
In March 2007, Private First Class Bloomfield graduated with an MOS of 0111 and was transferred to Marine Wing Support Group 27 aboard Cherry Point, North Carolina. She was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal in April of 2007 and later meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal in March 2008. Corporal Bloomfield deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from January 2009 to August 2009 as an individual augment for the II MEF lioness program.
In August 2010 Corporal Bloomfield reported to Marine Corps Forces Europe/Africa and was assigned to be the adjutant clerk. After she was promoted to Sergeant in October 2010, she was assigned to be the Career Retention Specialist. Sergeant Bloomfield attended Career Planner School, MCRD, San Diego California in June 2011 where she gained the MOS 4821.
In May 2012, Sergeant Bloomfield reported to the Marine Corps Senate Liaison, Office of Legislative Affairs, Washington, D.C. and was assigned as an Administrative Chief. Sergeant Bloomfield was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant on 1 January 2015.
In April 2015, Staff Sergeant Bloomfield reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina for Drill Instructor Duty with class 3-15. Staff Sergeant Bloomfield served as a Drill Instructor, Physical Training Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor. Gunnery Sergeant Bloomfield was promoted to her current rank 1 February 2018.
In April 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Bloomfield reported to Officer Candidate School, where she served as a Platoon Sergeant, Sergeant Instructor, and Academic Instructor.
In October 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Bloomfield was transferred to Headquarters Marine Corps, Manpower Management, Separations and Retirement Branch where she served as the Admin Chief for Officer Separations and Retirement section.
In July 2019, Gunnery Sergeant Bloomfield reported to the Office of the Secretary of the Navy where she served as the Senior Enlisted. Gunnery Sergeant Bloomfield was frocked to the rank of First Sergeant on 15 April 2022. In July of 2022, First Sergeant Bloomfield reported to Headquarters and Service Battalion aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina where she served as a Company First Sergeant for Headquarters and Service Company.
In September of 2025, Sergeant Major Bloomfield reported to her current position as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for 8th Communications Battalion.
Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
