Command Master Chief, II Marine Expeditionary Force
Command Master Chief (FMF/SW/AW) Jason Roeder

Command Master Chief Jason Roeder is a native of Denver, Colorado. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1996. After completion of Basic Training, he attended Hospital Corpsman “A” School, Field Medical Service School, and subsequent Surgical Technologist “C” School. He was Selected for the Command Master Chief program in 2020.

His operational assignments include 10th Marine Regiment; 6th Marine Regiment; Battalion Landing Team 2/6; 2d Medical Battalion; Surgical Shock Trauma Platoon Charlie; Fleet Hospital Three (FH-3); USS KEARSARGE (LHD-3) and as Command Master Chief of USS CARNEY (DDG-64).

Ashore, he served at Navy Personnel Command, Arlington, Va; Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland; Naval Hospital Beaufort; Naval Hospital Pensacola; as a High-Risk Instructor for the CENSECFOR, Riverine detachment and most recently as Command Master Chief of Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.

He has completed multiple deployments to various locations in EUCOM, CENTCOM, and SOUTHCOM to include Operations Iraqi Freedom; Enduring Freedom; Inherent Resolve, and disaster relief efforts for Hurricane Ivan and Joint Task Force Katrina.

CMDCM Roeder is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 207, Gray), the Command Master Chief & Chief of the Boat course, and the Major Command CMC course. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration with a focus in Biostatistics.

Additionally, he has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and campaign awards. He is qualified as an Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and Master Training Specialist.

Master Chief Roeder is currently serving as the Command Master Chief of II Marine Expeditionary Force, headquartered at Camp Lejeune, NC.
