Command Master Chief, II Marine Expeditionary Force
Command Master Chief (FMF) John Beck

Command Master Chief John Beck reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, in August 1995.  He went on to graduate from Construction Election “A” School at Sheppard AFB, Texas.  He was selected for the Command Master Chief Program in 2018.

He has served in several sea duty assignments, including Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Five in Port Hueneme, CA, Naval Support Unit State Department (American Embassy Lima, Peru), two tours with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Eleven in Gulfport, MS with one as the Command Master Chief, Command Master Chief of Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces – Central, and most recently as the Command Master Chief of 2d Marine Logistics Group.

His previous shore tours include presidential support duty at Naval Support Unit Thurmont (Camp David), Construction Electrician “A” School Instructor at Sheppard AFB, Texas, Seabee Detailer at Naval Personnel Command, Millington, TN and the Command Master Chief of 22nd Naval Construction Regiment in Gulfport, MS.

He has completed multiple deployments to various locations in the EUCOM, CENTCOM, and PACOM area of operations to include Operation Enduring Freedom, Freedom Sentinel, Spartan Shield, Inherent Resolve, and most recently Allies Refuge. 

CMDCM Beck is a distinguished graduate of the Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer’s Academy, a graduate of the Command Master Chief & Chief of the Boat course, and the National Defense University’s Keystone Course.  He holds an A.A. Degree in General Studies from American Military University and a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.  Additionally, he has been awarded the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), and various other personal and unit awards.

Master Chief Beck is currently serving as the Command Master Chief of II Marine Expeditionary Force, headquartered at Camp Lejeune, NC.
