Major General Fox assumed duties as the Commanding General of II Marine Expeditionary Force on 13 July 2012. Major General Fox was born in Spokane, Washington. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Eastern Washington University in 1977, entered the Marine Corps through the Platoon Leaders Class Program, and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in June 1977. He was designated a Naval Aviator in August 1979.
