U.S. Marines alongside crew from the ARC DEFENDER offload medium tactical vehicle replacements during exercise Aurora as part of Sword 26 in Fiborgatagnen, Norway, April 16, 2026. Ground and logistical equipment assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 24 was offloaded and transported in preparation for the exercise. U.S. Marines and Sailors with 2nd Marine Logistics Group are participating in Aurora as part of the larger Sword 26 series of linked multinational exercises. This participation directly supports NATO's Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative concept, validates defense plans, builds a unified lethal force, and strengthens deterrence.
