Afghan National Army soldiers with 6th Kandak, 1st Brigade, 215th Corps provide medical care to a notionally wounded soldier during casualty evacuation training at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, Nov. 19, 2017. As part of the operational readiness cycle, Afghan instructors at the Helmand Regional Military Training Center held the first iteration of CASEVAC training during the two-month course to help prepare its students for operations against the Taliban. U.S. advisors assigned to multiple train, advise, assist commands from throughout Afghanistan observed the simulation to implement standardized CASEVAC training into their respective RMTCs’ training cycles.
