Afghan National Army Brig. Gen. Wali Mohammed Ahmadzai, the commander of 215th Corps, and Brig. Gen. Roger Turner, the commanding general of Task Force Southwest, discuss plans and tactics to secure and clear the Nawa district of insurgents during Operation Maiwand Five Aug. 21, 2017. Several elements of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are completing clearing procedures to thwart enemy presence with assistance from U.S. advisors with the Task Force.
