Sailors with 2nd Medical Battalion apply a tourniquet to the leg of a simulated wounded service member during a medical scenario at Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 20, 2016. The training exercise taught the sailors the basics of a Health Service Augmentation Program and allowed them to familiarize themselves with the gear they would find in a shock trauma platoon. The sailors, all medical personnel at the Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital, had to work together in a field environment and communicate all while bringing the same quality of healthcare found in the hospital.
