II MEF Banner refresh

Dec 15, 2015

Lance Cpl. Taylor Woolman, a heavy equipment operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 2nd Marine Logistics Group begins to create a five-foot deep tank ditch with the Medium Crawler Tractor during a development of a simulated Forward Operating Base exercise at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Dec. 8, 2015. A tank ditch’s purpose is to expose the bottom of the tank, where it is the weakest, which provides an opening to neutralize the tank. The operators within the unit prepare for future operations by conducting training parallel to what they would be doing in a deployed environment. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Luke J.
