FY25 Selective Retention Bonus Program - Friday, October 18, 2024

Lethality

The SRB program ensures our formations remain filled with Marines’ critical skillsets necessary to maintain our warfighting capability and lethality.

We must continue to prioritize our Marine Corps’ most valuable and lethal asset – its people, and the SRB program is a tool leaders can use to retain Marines with critical skillsets.

Adaptability

Adapting the SRB program annually to meet the Marine Corps’ future retention requirements ensures the Marine Corps is postured with the right Marines today to fight tomorrow.

As the current economic environment changes, the Marine Corps must adapt its incentives to ensure it remains a competitive option for our Marines in critical MOSs.

High Standards

Although most Marines want to ‘Stay Marine’ because of the Marine Corps culture, high standards, and opportunities, we do recognize that targeted retention bonuses are essential to achieve Service retention goals.

Offering SRBs to our top warfighters in critical MOSs allows the Marine Corps to maintain its high standards, which the American people demand of its Marine Corps.
