Colonel Eric W. Young

A Christian and native of New York, Colonel Young attended the State University of New York at Brockport and was commissioned through the Officer Candidates Course on 15 December 1995. 

His fleet and operational force billets include Platoon Commander, 2d Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team Company, serving with the 6th and 7th Fleet; Company Commander, Military Police Company, 1st Force Service Support Group; Inspector & Instructor, Military Police Company Bravo, 4th Marine Logistics Group; Officer in Charge, Personnel Retrieval and Processing Detachment, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Fwd); G3X United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command; Battalion Commander, 2d Law Enforcement Battalion; Fleet Marine Officer, 5th Fleet; and Officer in Charge, Expeditionary Operations Training Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Colonel Young’s supporting establishment billets include Deputy Provost Marshal and Company Commander, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, GA; and Provost Marshal and Security Company Commander, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune. 

His joint tour was Personnel Recovery Branch Chief and Special Activities Plans Officer, J3X United States Special Operations Command.

He’s participated in the Kosovo Conflict, Maritime Security Operations post-USS COLE attack, and Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM where he commanded at the platoon, company and battalion level. He’s also participated in Operation SPARTAN SHIELD at the staff level.

Colonel Young has completed the Army’s Military Police Captain’s Career Course, Army’s Command and General Staff College, Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy, and Top Level School where he served as a Fellow at the cyber security company McAfee as part of the Secretary of Defense’s Corporate Fellowship Program. 

He’s possesses a Master’s in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University and a Master’s in Adult Education from Kansas State University..
