Sergeant Major Brad W. Baiotto Sergeant Major, Information Group, II MEF

Sergeant Major Baiotto is from Glendora California.  He went to boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego in Feb 1992, and graduated as an Honor Man and was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Pfc.

Upon completion of rifleman (0311) training at SOI-W, LCpl Baiotto was assigned to India Company, 3d Battalion, 2d Marines in Camp Lejeune from 1992 to 1996.  He served in the billets of Fire Team Leader, Squad Leader and Platoon Guide and went on two deployments; one with the 26th MEU and the other with UNITAS to South America and West Africa.

In Apr 1996, Cpl Baiotto transferred to SOI-West and served as a Troop Handler and Platoon Commander.  While at SOI-W, Cpl Baiotto was promoted to the rank of Sgt.  In 1999, Sgt Baiotto received orders to Recruiters School.  Sgt Baiotto was assigned to RS Orange/RSS Azusa, California.  Sgt Baiotto was promoted to the rank of SSgt and completed a successful tour as a recruiter.

In Apr 2002, SSgt Baiotto was assigned to 3d Battalion, 7th Marines in 29 Palms, Calif. SSgt Baiotto served as a Rifle Platoon Sergeant for 2nd Platoon, India Company during OIF I and Operations Chief for the Civil Military Operations Center during OIF II.

In Jan 2005, GySgt. Baiotto attended the Marine Combat Instructors Course, SOI-W where he graduated as the Course Honor Man.  GySgt. Baiotto was assigned to Alpha Company, ITB where he served as the Company GySgt. from Mar 2005 to Mar 2006 and as the 1st Sgt. from March 2006 to September 2006. In September 2006, GySgt. Baiotto took over as the Chief Instructor for MCIC.  He ran the course until July 2008 when he was promoted to the rank of 1st Sgt.

In July 2008, 1st Sgt. Baiotto was transferred to 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, where he served as the Company 1st Sgt. for Marine Special Operations Company Alpha (MSOC-A).  1st Sgt. Baiotto went on two deployments to OEF with MSOC-A while serving as the Senior Enlisted for Task Force 811 (SOTF-W/CJSOTF-A).

In March 2012, 1st Sgt. Baiotto received orders to Engineer Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 2 at Camp Lejeune.  In January 2013, 1st Sgt. Baiotto deployed as the Engineer Company 1st Sgt. for OEF 13.1. Upon completion of this deployment, 1st Sgt. Baiotto was promoted to the rank of Sgt. Maj.

Sgt. Maj. Baiotto received orders to VMM-365, MCAS New River as the Squadron Sgt. Maj. in September 2013. Sgt. Maj. Baiotto deployed with VMM-365 (REIN) as the ACE SgtMaj for the 24th MEU. He returned from the 24th MEU in July 2015.

Sgt. Maj. Baiotto then served at SOI-E, Advanced Infantry Training Battalion. In March 2017, he checked into CATC Camp Fuji, Japan where he was the Camp Sgt. Maj. until March 2018. Sgt. Maj. Baiotto checked into MACG-28, Cherry Point in April 2018 to serve as the Group Sgt. Maj. In March 2020, he received orders to II MEF Information Group.

Sgt. Maj. Baiotto has a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Personal decorations include:  Bronze Star Medal w/ "V", Meritorious Service Medal w/ two stars, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal w/ three Gold Star's, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Combat Action Ribbon w/ Gold Star.
