MCPO (FMF/MCD/FPJ) Jody Gene Fletcher

A native of Pensacola Florida, Master Chief Fletcher began his Naval service in October 1992. After completing basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL he attended Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes and Field Medical Service School in Camp Lejeune, NC.  

He reported to Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, FL for his first tour of duty. His shore tours include Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, FL; instructor duty at Field Medical Service School, Camp Pendleton, CA and instructor duty at Basic Reconnaissance Course, School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, CA.

His sea duty assignments include: 3d Reconnaissance Company, 3d Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan; 1st Reconnaissance Company, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA; 1st Force Reconnaissance Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, CA; 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, Marine Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Pendleton, CA; Marine Raider Regiment, Marine Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, NC; 2d Marine Raider Battalion, Marine Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, NC; Marine Forces Special Operations Command Headquarters, Camp Lejeune, NC, 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC, and he is currently assigned to II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, NC.

Master Chief Fletcher is an Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, Marine Combatant Diver, a Navy Senior Parachutist, and a Master Training Specialist. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration and a Master’s Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management, both from Trident University and is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course.
 
His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with combat distinguishing device, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medals with combat distinguishing device, Joint Services Achievement medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals with combat distinguishing device and various unit and service awards.
