II MEF Banner refresh

Dec 23, 2017

An Afghan Air Force MD-530 helicopter flies above Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan as Afghan tactical air controllers conduct simulated airstrike training Dec. 18, 2017. The exercise enabled several ATACs to rehearse their aircraft directing skills alongside coalition advisors in preparation for future combat operations. Coordinating airstrikes on the battlefield allows for Afghan National Defense and Security Forces increased freedom of movement and ability to destroy and exploit Taliban strongholds.
