Abdul Qudos Barakzai, a tribal elder from Gereshk, Afghanistan, addresses Afghan National Army soldiers with 6th Kandak, 1st Brigade, 215th Corps during a graduation ceremony at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, Dec. 3, 2017. The event concluded the unit’s eight-week operational readiness cycle, which focused on building the soldiers’ infantry capabilities in preparation for future combat operations in Helmand province.
