An Afghan National Army soldier with 215th Corps sweeps for notional improvised explosive devices at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, Aug. 29, 2017. Approximately 70 Afghan soldiers from throughout Helmand province completed a route clearance course held at the Helmand Regional Military Training Center Aug. 30. Led by U.S. advisors, the eight-week course developed the soldiers’ route clearance capabilities through classroom instruction and practical application exercises, resulting for improved mobility amongst infantry kandaks and supplies across the region.
