2d MARDIV Commanding General Recognizes Marines With Headquarters Battalion

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Rafael Lozada, an ammunition technician with Ammunition Company, 2nd Combat Readiness Regiment, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, counts blank ammunition on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, April 17, 2024. Lozada was selected by his command for his diligence, commitment, and seamless ability to handle a multitude of tasks. Lozada’s accomplishment include completing over 800 issue and turn-in transactions, coupled with conducting more than 150 vehicle inspections, while being praised for high ethics and efficiency. When asked why he joined the Marine Corps Lozada said, “I played football in college for three years prior to joining the military, and a lot of it is similar. In football it is all about having attention to detail, which makes the difference between winning and losing. CAMP LEJEUNE – Transition of leadership is not just a routine event; it's a significant moment symbolizing continuity, excellence, and the passing of the torch of responsibility. Such transitions are particularly notable when it involves the position of Sergeant Major. Recently, the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) (MEU(SOC)) witnessed a change in its Sergeant Major, marking a momentous occasion steeped in tradition and the pursuit of excellence.

VMUT-2 begins assembly of the first 2nd MAW MQ-9A Reaper

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. – Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Training Squadron (VMUT) 2, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), began the assembly of 2nd MAW’s first MQ-9A Reaper, April 10, as part of the U.S. Marine Corps’ continued transition from the legacy RQ-21A Blackjack in accordance with Force Design initiatives.
